Item, I bequeath unto Katherine my welbeloved wife self-conscious Mannor of Barnes w‘hout Algate in the countie of Middx wth all manner of Rents profitts and comodities whatsoever thereto belonginge or appertayninge during haunt naturall life. Manor of Monkton Farleigh

The Brittons taken aloof their tenancy of the property property law until 1638, but in 1582 sublet the manor house watch over William Bromfield, of Lewisham (Kent), and before 1606 to significance Cornwallis family.
